Academic Opportunities As an adjunct facility of the University, the Center serves as an on-campus site for research, fieldwork, observation, participation and other instructional and academically related experiences for university students. All academic work must be requested in writing by the course instructor and approved by the Center Director.
Parent Participation Parent participation is a very important component of the program. Parents are required to attend meetings at the beginning of each semester. In addition, parents must contribute 10 hours of volunteer time at the Center each semester.
Meals The CDC participates in the California Department of Education’s Child Care Food Program. Children are served nutritious meals that meet the requirements of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided at no additional cost.
